What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. When you use Resume Speed, we store the resume files you upload, the extracted text from those files, and the job descriptions you paste. We also record usage events such as when an analysis runs, a rewrite is applied, or a pricing page is viewed to enforce plan quotas and improve the product.
How we use your data
Your resume content and job descriptions are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate tailored rewrites and scores. This data is transmitted over encrypted connections and is governed by Anthropic's API data usage policies. We do not sell your data, use it to train our own models, or share it with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the service.
Data storage
All data is stored in Supabase managed infrastructure (PostgreSQL). Resume files are stored in Supabase Storage. Data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is permanently removed after a 7-day grace period, during which you can cancel the deletion.
Cookies and tracking
We use first-party session cookies for authentication. On our public marketing pages only, and only if you accept analytics cookies via our consent banner, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors navigate the site through aggregate heatmaps and session analytics. Clarity sets its own cookies and is governed by Microsoft's privacy statement. Page content is masked before it is sent, and Clarity is never loaded on your signed-in workspace, so your resume content, account data, and anything you enter while logged in are never captured by it. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. We do not use advertising trackers and we do not sell your data. We may also derive high-level location and source fields such as country, region, city, device type, referral domain, and campaign tags for first-party growth reporting, without storing exact IP addresses or raw user-agent strings. Error monitoring may be collected via Sentry if configured, which is governed by Sentry's privacy policy.
Your rights
You can export or delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion removes your email, resume content, and all associated data after the 7-day grace period. If you have questions about your data, you can reach us by opening a support request from within the app.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
